The role:

The VP of Corporate Development and Strategy will play a critical role in shaping and driving the long-term growth of FACEIT. You will directly report to our CEO and work closely with our Sr. Leadership team to define market opportunities, develop medium and long-term business strategies, identify, evaluate, recommend and execute potential M&A opportunities.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Leading the development of our long-term growth strategy and multi-year business plan.
  • Working closely with the Sr. Leadership team and key function leaders to develop robust long-term strategic growth roadmaps, that consider organic (e.g., product, innovation & technology) and inorganic growth opportunities (M&A, JVs, venture capital).
  • Creating and implementing our M&A process to include sourcing and pipeline development, stewardship of internal and BOD decision making processes including valuation, leadership of target engagement and deal process, and management of transactions from inception through close and integration.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to build and implement M&A pipeline, due diligence, and negotiation/closing processes
  • Collaborating across functions to support the annual business planning process and make sure that long-term strategies are “woven” into actionable annual plans.
  • Making sure that pricing and packaging strategies and plans are aligned with and supporting our overall business strategy by identifying specific steps to increase revenue and client base.
  • Assessing market, competition, and compliance trends to identify potential targets, investment opportunities, and best practices, as well as developing and guiding post-acquisition integration plans.

Requirements:

So, what are we looking for?

  • Extensive, ideally over 10 years, experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, and/or equivalent experience (e.g., scaling a business, driving change across a company).
  • You will have a BS/BA degree within a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of next generation platform business models, what’s best practice and what it takes to get there.
  • You will have superb analytical skills enabling you to to visualise, contextualise and simplify complex problems well.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills through all levels is naturally something we look out for.
  • You should also have experience leading global businesses or working in non-US markets.
  • You are comfortable in being able to demonstrate your ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, with rapid exploration and ability to execute.
  • You have a passion for problem-solving orientation with ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive decision making.
  • Exceptionally well nurtured personal initiative, good business instincts, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • The ability to oversee multiple simultaneous high-priority projects (often including project management of cross-functional teams).
