Badlion is a standalone product by EFG (formally known as FACEIT or ESL) which is essentially its own gaming studio that builds its own client with enhanced performance and modifications for Minecraft. Badlion is driven by community desire with over 500,000+ users a month, supporting over 100 unique MODS. Badlion is paving the way for the ultimate gaming experience across multiple genres to provide our users with the best gaming adventures!

With its continued success and plans for further enhancements to its already amazing capabilities, we are now looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to come in and help advance our level to the next stage!

The Team:

Our Frontend Developers take full responsibility of the SDLC and are currently working on some amazing new features. Our tech stack is based around React, Redux, and TypeScript and we’re starting to use more of Next.Js – and yes, of course, they are all the latest versions!

Our Developers are divided into collaborative teams that look after various services such as; Matchmaking, Clans, Growth, Monetization, and many more – making constant improvements to them. We’re currently working on developing some crazy new features but are always open to new exciting ideas our colleagues want to share.

Requirements:

  • Current commercial experience with React and Redux;
  • Good demonstrable TypeScript experience;
  • Experience with Websockets and real-time messaging;
  • Desire to learn new technologies and frameworks;
  • Previous experience working on large complex applications;
  • A passion for video games and esports is a plus.

We would get especially excited if you have experience with the following:

  • Next.js
  • Styled-components
  • Webpack
  • Internationalisation libraries (react-intl or react-i18next);
  • Knowledge of React testing framework.
