HR Business Partner

As an HR Business Partner, you will be part of our Global HR team who are responsible for executing our global HR strategy to fulfill the organizations resource requirements, through attracting, developing, and retaining capable people to achieve its current and future business objectives in line with the business vision and strategy, industry best practices and local legal requirements.

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support our global Technology team, which includes our digital platform, technology infrastructure, core technology, custom websites, esports data and product services. This position reports to our SVP of People & Culture and would partner closely with our global technology leaders. The ideal candidate for this position would reside in our office located in United Kingdom.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the Global Technology team to design and deliver people plans that improve effectiveness, anticipate hiring and development needs, and help achieve overall business objectives
  • Manage global HR programs and initiatives including annual performance and compensation reviews, talent planning, career development, recognition and retention programs, and employee relations
  • Provide day to day coaching and guidance to management in employee life-cycle areas including hiring, promotions and performance management
  • Learn, anticipate, and quickly become embedded with the business as a trusted people business partner and advisor, not only of People initiatives but broadly
  • Partner with business leaders to drive & lead through organizational change and evolution
  • Proactively manage legal risk; ensure manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: employee relations, company policies, leadership and employee development, compensation, etc.
  • Build and foster an inclusive and diverse culture aligned to our Company vision, mission & values
  • Develop and enable people manager capabilities and leadership team effectiveness
  • Build strategy and/or solutions, leveraging sound judgment to navigate ambiguous situations
  • Take initiative to develop and manage timelines, driving cross functional teams’ programs and processes forward, while providing actionable feedback to inform and strengthen future program iterations
  • Integrate and partner with the global People team to implement solutions and help scale the business

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible as an HR Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Experience providing HR support to fast-paced, highly technical populations, including software engineers and product managers
  • Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Understand and know how to work in a matrixed model, both corporate, functional, and geographic
  • Experience with dispersed workforce
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and local legal requirements
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with different types of people at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English language, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work under time pressure and remain calm in challenging situations
